One of the Country’s First High Speed Electric Vehicle Charging Stations…
…installed at a commercial location. Our client, ParkPod, LLC, of Karlsruhe, Germany and San Francisco, has successfully installed the charger at the Hilton San Francisco Financial District.
Why is that important? Because Nissan, Chevy, Ford, and Toyota are poised to begin selling plug in electric and plug in hybrid cars, and if the re-charging infrastructure is not in place, that’s going to be a tough sell.
Most of all, charging has to be convenient–chargers have to be where drivers are already doing business: where they shop, dine, play, sleep.
Until last week, every high speed (also known as level two) charger we know about was located at a government or public facility. Charging won’t be convenient until private businesses start investing in the infrastructure.
